An Autumn wedding guests guide…What shall I wear??
The last few days has had us reaching for our woollens and warm boots, autumn is officially here and lets embrace it, cosy nights, crisp walks and the amazing colours of nature, reflected in the world of fashion.
Autumn and winter weddings are becoming increasing popular, but as a wedding guest can be a challenge, however we have a great guide for you on how to battle the challenging weather conditions and remain on trend.
Here’s our guide on getting the perfect autumn and winter wedding guest outfit for 2017:-
- Autumn colours are rich jewelled tones such as ruby, fuchsia, emerald and sapphire with the most popular colour for the season being a khaki/olive green and red, colours that work with all skin tones. Khaki is seen in dresses on the high street at the moment and both colours look amazing with gold accessories.
- So…..think romance, boho is so in, get those fairy tale florals working together with blocking floral fabrics, similar to a patch work pattern, working great with long sleeved maxi dresses with Victorian style, high neck lines, and to finish off the bohemian look some oversized earrings and a soft light fascinator or beautiful side flower with a relaxed hair style. This is a very refreshing look for a wedding, with the key being not to over style.
- A warm welcome is the long sleeved jumpsuit, they are sleek, sophisticated and comfortable, with extra tailored detailing coming in, such as knotted detail around the waist giving a modern twist.
- Black and navy dresses, with beautiful floral embroidered flowers look amazing, and make accessorising so much fun.
- Colouring clashing has been so big this summer, with colours like red and pink being bought together and working so well, this season it’s all about print clashing, so using the same colour in an outfit, but with blocks of different pattern and touch me textures giving a feeling of luxury.
- As we move closer to winter, country style vibes are flowing, with tartan print becoming a must in tailored trouser suits and dresses and not forgetting the tweed, also super popular for men.
We have put some stunning wedding outfits together that are currently available on the high street and we think they would be perfect for any guest attending an autumn or winter wedding in 2017. We have also matched them up with some of our Love Fascinators, fascinators and hatinators…….We hope you like.
