Fascinators for 2020 weddings?
WHATS ON TOP FOR 2020 WEDDINGS?
2020 is going to be a big one for weddings, it’s got that “ring” to the date. We are excited to kick off the year with some new colours and styles…so here’s what’s on top for 2020.
Flower crowns
They are romantic, chic and are perfect for a relaxed, boho wedding. They are increasingly popular for brides, swapping a traditional veil for oversized flower garlands, and matching bridesmaids, bringing in colour and softness. We think they are are also going to be popular for the races, they can be fun and easy to wear if you are going for a floaty, festival feel. Just be aware, if you have a busy floral outfit be careful not to over style.
Crossing knots and padded headband
Kate Middleton is a fan of the padded hairband, which can be bejewelled with gems, embellishments, sequins or pearls. Personally I see them working well for winter weddings and christenings with long coats. If you are planning to wear for a summer wedding, avoid velvet and look at satin or lace covered in vibrant colours.
A similar look is a crossed knot hair band, looks striking with tailored outfit and stripes.
Flower Fascinators
We think oversized flowers are going to be a popular look for wedding guests this year. Large single flower fascinators are stunning to give a dramatic headpiece, easy to wear and do not restrict your hairstyle. If you are looking for a traditional look, perhaps for a mother of the bride or mother of the groom large flowers on hatinators and a pillbox look exquisite.
It’s all about the height
Single quills, oversized feathers…this is going to be big for Ascot and perfect for a summer wedding, looking on trend on a pillbox base. Be careful though…if you have to travel, think practically, take extra care getting in and out of vehicles. We love this quirky, sophisticated look.
